Rams at Cowboys Over/Under Pick for NFL Week 15

Los Angeles Rams(8-5) @ Dallas Cowboys(6-7)

  • Where: AT&T Stadium. Arlington, TX
  • When: December 15, 2019 4:25 pm EST
  • Spread: Rams +1 (-110) vs. Cowboys -1 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Rams (-105) vs. Cowboys (-115)
  • Over / Under: Over 48 (-110) vs. Under 48 (-110)

The Dallas Cowboys (7-6 ATS) have lost three consecutive games and find themselves battling it out with the Eagles for first place in the NFC East. One problem has been Jason Garrett’s coaching.

I’m surprised the Cowboys haven’t moved on from Garrett during the current losing streak, but his job appears to be safe this season, although he’s not expected back in Dallas next year.

The Los Angeles Rams (9-4) are tied with Pittsburgh for the best ATS record in the NFL. However, the Rams are fighting to simply stay alive in the wild card race despite winning two games in a row.

There’s no doubt the toughest division in the NFL has been the NFC West. The Rams are only 2-2 in division games, but they’re 4-1 when playing NFC teams outside of their division this season.

LA Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys Week 15 Betting Lines Movement

Dallas opened up as a -4 favorite, but quickly dropped to -1 at Bovada ($250 NFL Bonus). With the way these teams are playing, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rams close the week as the favorite.

The game total opened at 47 points and has been bet up to O/U 48 points. I predict this total will continue to increase and this game could end up closing with the highest over/under in week 15.

LAR vs. DAL Game Preview and Stats

Here’s how the Rams and Cowboys match-up against each other:

These two teams are actually very similar. I give a small edge to the Cowboys on offense, while I give a small edge to the Rams on defense. This is going to be an extremely tightly contested game.

Rams vs. Cowboys Game Total Prediction

Ezekiel Elliott has 1071 rushing yards and 338 receiving yards with 10 total TDs, while Todd Gurley has 721 rushing yards and 168 rushing yards with 10 total TDs in just one less game than Zeke.

Both teams are loaded in the pass game. Dak Prescott has thrown for 4122 yards, 24 TDs and 11 INTs, while Jared Goff has thrown for 3712 yards, 15 TDs and 14 INTs. Goff has the fourth most INTs.

LAR at DAL Week 15 PreviewAmari Cooper (1054 receiving yards and 8 TDs) and Michael Gallup (905 receiving yards and 3 TDs) have grown into a nice WR1/WR2 combo, plus the Cowboys still have Randall Cobb.

Cooper Kupp leads the Rams in receiving yards (990) and TDs (7). Robert Woods missed a game, but he has 933 receiving yards, but Brandin Cooks (458 receiving yards) has really struggled.

Since coming back from injury, Cooks has 4 receptions on 8 targets in three games.

On defense, the Rams have been tightening things up apart from a blowout loss to Baltimore (45-6) in week 12. If you remove that game, the Rams have allowed 10.5 PPG since week 7.

The Rams also have an edge in sacks. LAR average 3.3 SPG (4th), while DAL average 2.6 SPG (15th).

Aaron Donald (11 sacks), Dante Fowler Jr (9 sacks) and Clay Matthews (8 sacks) have all been getting to the QB. Dallas only allow 1.4 SPG (1st), but Prescott will see some pressure on Sunday.

I’m betting on this game going over the total, but bet it now while it’s still 48 points. The Cowboys have gone over in 8 of 13 games, while the Rams have only gone over the total in 4 of 13 games.

These teams don’t play each other often. They’ve played each other three times since 2017, including in last year’s playoffs and both of those games ended with 52+ points scored.

LAR at DAL Week 15 Money Line Pick

The Rams have won the last two head-to-head games against Dallas. These two teams are trending in opposite directions as well, as Dallas have lost three in a row and the Rams have won two in a row.

Goff has to watch the turnovers, but if he limits them the Rams should win. They’ll be able to make a late stop or two on defense to pick up the win and stay in the wild card race in the NFC.

The Rams are chasing the Vikings (9-4) for the second wild card in the NFC and they need to keep winning to have a chance. The Cowboys will stay alive in the weak NFC East even with a loss.
