Chiefs vs. Bills Week 6 PredictionsCan you believe it’s already week 6 of the NFL regular season?

COVID-19 has started to impact the NFL schedule. Last week, we had the first NFL game played on a Tuesday in a decade and this week we’re going to be treated to a doubleheader on Monday night.

Unless there needs to be any last-minute schedule changes, the Bills will host the Chiefs and the Cowboys will host the Cardinals in a Monday Night Football (MNF) doubleheader.

I’m going to analyze both match-ups and share my best bets from these two games.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills Week 6 Picks

The Bills (4-1 / 3-2 ATS) and Chiefs (4-1 / 3-2 ATS) have the same record through five weeks.

Both teams are coming off losses in week 5. The Bills were smoked by a depleted Titans (42-16) team, while the Chiefs were beat up by the Raiders (40-32) despite being 10-point favorites.

Both teams are relatively healthy. The only skill position player that’s doubtful on either team is Sammy Watkins, as he injured his hamstring in the loss against Las Vegas.

Dawson Knox and John Brown are listed as questionable for the Bills.

This is the first head-to-head meeting between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. The last time these two teams played Alex Smith (Chiefs) and Tyrod Taylor (Bills) were the starting QBs.

Allen is having a better season than Mahomes up to this point. Allen has thrown for 1589 yards, 14 TDs and 3 INTs, while Mahomes has thrown for 1474 yards, 13 TDs and 1 INT.

The Chiefs (29.8 PPG – 8th) score more points than the Bills (27.8 PPG – 11th), though.

Andy Reid is known for having his teams bounce back after a rough loss. The Chiefs are 6-0 ATS in their last six games after allowing 30+ points and 5-0-1 ATS after allowing 350+ total yards.

Despite the poor showing last week, the Chiefs have the edge on defense as well. The Chiefs allow 22.0 PPG (7th) and the Bills allow 28.4 PPG (21st). Defense will be the difference in this game.

My best bet is on the Chiefs to cover the -4.5 spread even though they’re on the road. If this was a 1PM game on Sunday, I may have to bet the Bills, but this game is on Monday night.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys Week 6 Picks

Kick-Off: Monday, October 19th 2020 at 8:15PM ET
Point Spread: Cardinals (-1) vs. Cowboys (+1) / Game Total: 55 Points

The Cowboys (2-3 / 0-5 ATS) are tied for the worst ATS record in the league with the Jets. Despite having a losing record, the Cowboys are actually sitting in first place in the NFC East.

I bet the Cardinals (3-2 / 3-2 ATS) wish they were in the NFC East instead of the NFC West. They have a winning record, but are sitting in third place in their division behind the Seahawks and Rams.

Dallas have been one of the highest scoring teams (32.6 PPG – 3rd) in the NFL, but they also allow a league-worst 36.0 PPG. Arizona are scoring 25.6 PPG (16th) and allowing 20.4 PPG (5th).

With the way the Cardinals defense has been playing, I expected better results.

The Cardinals offense was hyped up all off-season after acquiring DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins leads the team with 45 receptions for 528 yards, but Kyler Murray is struggling a bit.

Murray has only thrown 8 TDs and he has tossed 6 INTs already. Dak Prescott leads the league in passing yards (1856)., but he is done for the season after getting injured last week.

Andy Dalton has been named the starting QB for the Cowboys. He’ll get a chance to power one of the best offenses in the NFL, but I’m sure the Cowboys will start running the football more often.

Ezekiel Elliott only has 364 rushing yards, but he also has 173 receiving yards. Elliott is going to get a lot more work on the ground, as Dalton is likely going to be utilized as a game manager.

The Cardinals rank #19 in rushing yards allowed (124.2 RYPG). Elliott should be able to have success on the ground and Dalton will make a couple key throws to secure a win.

Don’t overreact to the Prescott injury yet. Dallas are still going to put up points.
