One of the most popular bet types at Bovada is NFL teasers.
For those unaware, a teaser bet is similar to a parlay. You select 2+ teams on a teaser and you also receive X points off of the point spread for each team selected.
In this article, we’re going to be betting on a 5-team, 6-point teaser, which pays 4/1 odds.
With a 6-point teaser, we get six points off of the point spread in our favor.

- Bet on Seattle Seahawks +10 (Original Spread +4) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Seahawks 1-0 (0-1 ATS) opened the season with a 21-20 win against the Bengals at home. It wasn’t a convincing win, as the offense struggled to get going throughout the game.
Russell Wilson only completed 14/20 passes for 196 yards and 2 TDs. Rookie WR DK Metcalf was solid in his first NFL appearance. He led the Seahawks with 4 catches for 89 yards.
The Steelers 0-1 (0-1 ATS) were dominated by the Patriots (33-3). It was ugly from start to finish. Seattle can focus in on JuJu Smith-Schuster to completely shutdown this Steelers offense.
I expect the Seahawks to win SU on the road and you can bet on the ML (+165) at Bovada as well.
- Bet on Minnesota Vikings +9 (Original Spread +3) vs. Green Bay Packers
Minnesota 1-0 (1-0 ATS) dominated the Falcons (28-12) at home in week 1. The Vikings were up 28-0 to begin the 4th quarter before shutting things down and allowing two garbage time TDs.
Since 2013, the Vikings are 3-0-1 against the Packers 1-0 (1-0 ATS). With this game at Lambeau Field, I can see why the Packers are favored by a FG, but the value on teasers is definitely on Minny.
This game should be decided within a TD either way. I predict the Vikings will win SU, but I wouldn’t bet on the ML this week. I need to see more out of the Vikings offense.
Kirk Cousins only had to throw 10 passes in week 1, but RB Dalvin Cook had 111 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Minny looks ready to bounce back from a poor 2018 and this will be a big test on the road.
- Bet on Houston Texans -3 (Original Spread -9) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Texans 0-1 (1-0 ATS) have to be disappointed after losing to the Saints on MNF. They took a 28-27 lead in the final minute after a 2-play, 75-yard TD drive, but the defense couldn’t hold on.
Jacksonville 0-1 (0-1 ATS) lost to the Chiefs (40-26), but more importantly, they lost QB Nick Foles for at least a couple months after he went down with an injury against KC.
The Jaguars will start Gardner Minshew II at QB and could see their season spiral out of control at a fast pace without a QB. They may be wishing they kept Blake Bortles around at this point.
Houston won both H2H meetings last season by scores of 20-7 and 20-3. With the QB situation now in Jacksonville, I expect a similar scoreline. There’s no way the Texans lose at home to the Jags.
- Bet on the Kansas City Chiefs -1.5 (Original Spread -7.5) vs. Oakland Raiders
Kansas City 1-0 (1-0 ATS) lost Tyreek Hill for 4-6 weeks to an injury, but this offense shouldn’t skip a beat, as they spent most of the off-season expecting to be playing without Hill.
Sammy Watkins looks healthier than he has in awhile. He had a monster 9 receptions for 198 yards and 3 TDs last week. He alone had more receiving yards than some teams had last week.
The Raiders 1-0 (1-0 ATS) started the season off with a home win against Denver (24-16). Derek Carr was an impressive 22/26 for 259 yards and 1 TD, but he’ll need to do even more to keep pace with KC.
The Chiefs have dominated the recent H2H series, winning the last three games by a combined 50 points. This spread just dropped 1½ points making the teaser line only -1.5 for KC on the road.
- Bet on the New York Jets +9 (Original Spread +3) vs. Cleveland Browns
The Jets 0-1 (0-1 ATS) host the Browns 0-1 (0-1 ATS) on MNF in a game both teams need to win. After blowing a 17-0 lead and losing 18-17 to the Bills in week 1, the Jets should be hungry for a win.
Cleveland was absolutely shredded by the Titans (43-13) at home. Baker Mayfield had 3 INTs and new WR Odell Beckham Jr, was held relatively quiet with a stat line of 7 catches for 71 yards.
The Browns hype train has died down since the loss, but now they can redeem themselves on MNF primetime. However, I don’t see them running away with this game on the road.
Le’Veon Bell should find more room against the Browns than he did the Bills. This has the makings of a sluggish MNF game that’ll end with both teams scoring less than 20 points.
NFL Week 2 Teaser Prediction (5-Team / 6-Points)
You can mix these games around and bet on 3-team or 4-team teasers if you prefer, but I’d also make sure you bet a unit on this 5-teamer that has a hefty payout of 4/1 odds.
