March Madness Sweet 16 Money Line Picks:

    Syracuse Orange ML (+220)
    Florida State Seminoles ML (+120)
    USC Trojans ML (-125)

2021 March Madness Sweet 16 PreviewWe hope you’re still alive in your 2021 March Madness bracket contests.

A number of top contenders have already been eliminated. (#1) Illinois are out, (#2) Iowa and (#2) Ohio State are both back at home and most #3 and #4 seeds are eliminated as well.

Could we see an underdog make a run into the 2021 March Madness championship game?

There are still four teams seeded in the double-digits. (#11) UCLA, (#11) Syracuse, (#12) Oregon State and (#15) Oral Roberts all have an opportunity to win the big dance.

If you remember, Oral Roberts was one of the underdogs we predicted in the first round.

Best Money Line Picks for the Sweet 16

You can never count out Jim Boehiem and the (#11) Syracuse Orange. The Orange have had a tough bracket, but they’ve already defeated (#6) San Diego State (78-62) and (#3) West Virginia (75-72).

The (#2) Houston Cougars dominated (#15) Cleveland State (87-56) in the first round, but they barely escaped the second round with a close victory against (#10) Rutgers (63-60).

One of the keys in this game will be whether the Orange are nailing three-pointers.

Syracuse shot 15/27 (55.6%) from beyond the arc against SDSU and 14/31 (45.2%) against WVU. This team is 4-1 in their last five games and in each win they’ve nailed 10+ three-pointers.

If they can knock down 10+ three-pointers against Houston, they’ll likely come out on top.

I still believe the (#1) Michigan Wolverines are a weak #1 seed. They had it easy in the opening round, defeating (#16) Texas Southern (82-66) and they followed that up with a win over (#8) LSU (86-78).

The (#4) Florida State Seminoles have wins against (#13) UNC Greensboro (64-54) and (#5) Colorado (71-53). FSU are a strong rebounding team, play tough defense and will be a tough match-up.

The Seminoles like to jump out strong in the 1H, which I expect they’ll do on Sunday.

With the Big Ten struggling in the opening two rounds, that gives me even more confidence that FSU will be able to compete. If they can watch the turnovers, they’ll have a great shot at winning.

In the 2H against Colorado, the Seminoles exploded for 47 points. The offense has been struggling down the stretch, but I believe FSU will be able to build off the momentum they have generated.

I love the price we’re getting on the (#6) USC Trojans against the (#7) Oregon Ducks.

USC have picked up wins against (#11) Drake (72-56) and (#3) Kansas (85-51). The Tojans didn’t just beat the Jayhawks, but they absolutely shredded them in the second round.

The Ducks ended up not playing the first round, as VCU had multiple cases of COVID-19.

Oregon looked great in the second round, though, as they beat (#2) Iowa (95-80). This game is likely going to have plenty of scoring and I’m surprised the total is below 140 points.

These two teams are familiar with each other, as they both play in the Pac-12.

The first head-to-head game was postponed between these two teams this season. USC won the lone H2H meeting this season (72-58). The Trojans had a 43-22 lead by halftime.

My money is on the Trojans winning again and we’re getting good value on the money line.

2021 March Madness Sweet 16 Parlay

The best Sweet 16 parlay features (#8) Loyola-Chicago defeating (#12) Oregon State, (#1) Baylor defeating (#5) Villanova and (#2) Alabama defeating (#11) UCLA.

These three favorites should be able to all win straight-up, but it is March Madness, so I guess you really never know. What we do know is that this weekend is going to be exciting.

Will Anyone Be Able to Stop Gonzaga?

Gonzaga should have little trouble dispatching (#5) Creighton this weekend.

The Bulldogs dominated (#16) Norfolk State (98-55) and (#8) Oklahoma (87-71). I expected them to be able to cruise into the Elite Eight, but they’ve been more than impressive up to this point.

If you think Gonzaga are untouchable, Bovada are offering them at +140 to win it all.

That seems like a great price considering the way they’ve looked through the first two rounds.
