When: Sunday, November 6th 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey
Watch: FOX
The Philadelphia Eagles 4-3 (4-3 ATS) travel to MetLife to play the New York Giants 4-3 (3-3-1 ATS) in an NFC East divisional match-up. Both teams are looking to keep pace with Dallas.
Philadelphia lost to the Cowboys (29-23) last week and they’re now 0-2 in division games. NYG started the season slow, but they have won two in a row against the Ravens (27-23) and Rams (17-10).

- Money Line: Philadelphia Eagles (+115) vs. New York Giants (-135)
- Point Spread: Philadelphia Eagles +3 (-135) vs. New York Giants –3 (+115)
- Game Total: Over 43 Points (-115) vs. Under 43 Points (-105)
A lot of action has come in on the Eagles this week, yet the point spread has moved from the opening line of +2 to +3 with added juice. I’d jump on the Eagles now if you want to bet them.
Offensive/Defensive stats and rankings
The Eagles rank within the top 10 in scoring offense and defense, but that hasn’t been translating to wins every week. Meanwhile, the Giants have one of the worst-producing offenses in the NFL.
- Points Scored: Eagles 25.6 PPG (10th) vs. Giants 19.0 PPG (26th)
- Passing Yards (OFF): Eagles 208.3 PYPG (29th) vs. Giants 275.0 PYPG (6th)
- Rushing Yards (OFF): Eagles 109.4 RYPG (17th) vs. Giants 70.3 RYPG (32nd)
- Points Allowed: Eagles 16.7 PPG (4th) vs. Giants 20.1 PPG (10th)
- Passing Yards (DEF): Eagles 214.1 PYPG (5th) vs. Giants 267.4 PYPG (22nd)
- Rushing Yards (DEF): Eagles 114.7 RYPG (20th) vs. Giants 93.6 RYPG (10th)
- Turnover Margin: Eagles +6 (5th) vs. Giants –7 (28th)
This is going to be an interesting game. The Eagles can put up points, but the pass game is struggling and the Giants run defense is a strong unit. The Giants may also have trouble moving the football, as they have no run game and the Eagles passing defense will frustrate Eli Manning.
The Eagles also have a huge edge in turnover differential this season. The Eagles have 13 takeaways and 7 giveaways, while the Giants have 7 takeaways and 14 giveaways.
Eagles at Giants O/U picks
My best bet in the over/under betting market is O43 points. Two of the last three head-to-head games have gone over the total and all three totals were above 50 points.
The Eagles defense has been struggling their bye week. Philly have allowed 24+ points in three of four games since the bye week. The Giants have had problems on offense, but they’re coming off their bye week and I expect Mike Sullivan to have worked out some of the kinks.
Manning, Odell Beckham Jr. and the rest of the Giants passing attack have been producing, but the run game has been dreadful. Rashad Jennings leads the team with 142 rushing yards on 53 carries. There have been RBs this season that have rushed for more in one game than Jennings has all season.
Dak Prescott just threw for 287 yards against this Eagles secondary, so Manning should as well. Points have been at a premium because of turnovers. Manning only has 6 INTs, but the Giants as a team have lost eight fumbles, which is the second worst total in the league behind the Chargers.
These two teams are going to score points. They know each other well and both teams are desperate to pick up a win. Turnovers are also likely to assist us hitting the over this week.
Eagles at Giants ATS picks
You can find the Eagles –2.5 (-110), but I’d risk the extra juice and get the extra ½ point because this game could end within a FG. I don’t think it will, but it’s better to not get greedy.
The Eagles have won the last four H2H games against the Giants, including two at MetLife. Philly will need to establish the run game with Darren Sproles and Ryan Matthews. Carson Wentz has been struggling, but this is a great match-up for him to get things back on track.
