The Green Bay Packers (14-3 / 11-6 ATS) host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (13-5 / 10-8 ATS) on Sunday in the 2021 NFC Championship Game. The winner will earn a trip to Super Bowl LV.
These two teams played against each other in week 6 and the Bucs crushed GB (38-10).
Aaron Rodgers completed 16/35 passes for 160 yards and 2 INTs in the loss to TB. He’ll have revenge on his mind and this time the Packers are at Lambeau.
Buccaneers vs. Packers Betting Lines Movement
Despite losing big in TB earlier this season, the Packers are home favorites.
We haven’t seen much line movement for the NFC Championship Game.
GB opened up as a -3.5 point favorite and they’re still -3.5 (+100) at Bovada. The over/under has seen a bit of movement, as the total opened at 52 points and is now sitting at 51.5 points.

TB vs. GB Preview and Stats
Green Bay had a first-round NFL playoffs bye and then they defeated the Rams (32-18) last week.
The Buccaneers have playoff wins against Washington (31-23) and New Orleans (30-20). The team has done a great job running the football, rushing for 125+ yards and 1 TD in both games.
Leonard Fournette is starting at RB, but Ronald Jones II is basically splitting carries with him.
Here’s how these two teams stack up statistically against each other:
- Points Scored: Packers 31.8 PPG (1st) vs. Buccaneers 30.7 PPG (2nd)
- Passing Yards (OFF): Packers 258.9 PYPG (10th) vs. Buccaneers 287.8 PYPG (2nd)
- Rushing Yards (OFF): Packers 135.6 RYPG (8th) vs. Buccaneers 99.3 RYPG (27th)
- Points Allowed: Packers 22.8 PPG (12th) vs. Buccaneers 22.1 PPG (7th)
- Passing Yards (DEF): Packers 216.9 PYPG (7th) vs. Buccaneers 245.8 PYPG (21st)
- Rushing Yards (DEF): Packers 111.8 RYPG (11th) vs. Buccaneers 82.2 RYPG (1st)
- Turnover Margin: Packers +7 (7th) vs. Buccaneers +8 (6th)
We have the two highest-scoring teams in the NFL playing in this game.
Does that mean we should expect a ton of offense? One area where the Bucs defense struggles is through the air, so Rodgers will have a chance to redeem himself in this match-up.
Both QBs have a lot of weapons as well. Brady has Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown, while Rodgers has Davante Adams, Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
The Bucs have the edge at WR, but the Packers WR unit is underrated.
Another thing these teams do well is avoiding turnovers. The Packers only have 11 giveaways (5 INTs and 6 Fumbles) all season, which is 1st in the NFL. TB rank #7 in giveaways (12 INTs and 5 Fumbles).
Buccaneers at Packers ML Prediction
The hook on the point spread definitely worries me, so I’m playing it safe with a moneyline bet on the Packets at home. I expect Rodgers and the Packers to get revenge on the Bucs.
GB are 9-1 at Lambeau this season and are tough to beat at home. The Bucs are 8-2 on the road, but I’m backing the home team. The home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven H2H games.
The Packers are 5-0 ATS at home against teams with winning records.
Buccaneers at Packers Over/Under Prediction
I’ll also be betting on over 51.5 points in the NFC Championship Game.
Rodgers and the Packers won’t be held to 10 points again. The Bucs are going to put up points again as well. I expect both QBs are going to throw 40+ passes in this game.
The Packers have gone over the total in their last six playoff games. The over is also 4-0 when the Packers play at home against a team with a winning record.
The Bucs have gone over in six of their last seven games as a road underdog and seven of the last eight games following an ATS win. All of the trends and stats are pointing towards the over.
