Bengals vs. Giants Money Line Picks – NFL Week 10

Bengals vs. Giants Week 10 Money Line PicksWhen: Monday, November 14th 2016 at 8:30 PM ET

This week’s Monday Night Football (MNF) game is between the Cincinnati Bengals 3-4-1 (3-5 ATS) and New York Giants 5-3 (4-3-1 ATS). These two teams last played each other in 2012.

The Giants have won three games in a row and are within striking distance of the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. The Bengals just had a bye week and tied the Redskins (27-27) the week prior. Cincy are desperate for a big win.

Unsurprisingly, the action has been basically split down the middle on the money line and ATS. Most of the bets in the over/under market have come in on over 47 points, which I don’t really understand.

It’s too early in the week for injury reports, but both teams are relatively healthy considering it’s week 10 of the season. Of note, Victor Cruz may miss the game with a low ankle sprain.

Cincinnati have the edge offensively, but they’ve struggled to finish drives and score TDs. The Giants also turnover the football far too often. They have 17 giveaways, which is tied for third-worst in the NFL.

Who will win in Bengals vs.Giants?

Cincy are 1-3 on the road, but if you look a bit deeper, the losses were against the Steelers, Cowboys and Patriots. Those aren’t easy road match-ups and the poor record is understandable. Cincy know that they need to make a move soon and they’ll be fired up coming off a bye.

The Giants are winning games, but they always do everything they can to make them close. For instant, last week the Giants beat the Eagles (28-23), but they were up 14-0 early and they allowed the Eagles a chance to win at the end after Eli Manning threw a late interception.

Andy Dalton and A.J. Green will need to both play well. Green has 896 receiving yards already, but he has been inconsistent with his production. With the improved Giants run defense, though, the Bengals will need to rely on the passing game to put up points and win the game.

Brandon LaFell is often overlooked in the Bengals offense, but he leads the team with 4 rushing TDs this season. Giovani Bernard is also a huge part of the pass game and he’s 2nd on the team with 31 catches.

Cincinnati’s defense also has to pressure Manning and force him into mistakes. Manning has thrown 8 INTs and he already has three games this season where he has thrown multiple interceptions. In three career games against the Bengals, Manning is 1-2 and he has thrown 1 TD / 3 INTs in those games.

Bengals vs. Giants over/under predictions

The Giants are my best bet in the MNF game, but I also lean under 47 points. If this jumps another point or two I may jump into the market, but even at 47 points, the total is too high. Both of these teams have had problems scoring points and there’s little chance this turns into a shootout.

Early turnovers could change the game script, but I expect both teams to score in the low 20s. A 24-21 or 24-20 win for the Bengals is what I’m expecting on Sunday. The Giants offense isn’t difficult to shutdown. If you can stop Odell Beckham Jr. from finding the endzone, who else is going to score?
