Super Bowl 56 Futures BettingExcited about your NFL team hitting the field with their new additions through free agency and the draft? Is your team offering value in the Super Bowl 56 futures betting markets?

We’ll discuss all of this in our first 2022 NFL Super Bowl futures odds analysis.

Super Bowl 56 futures odds were released before the AFC/NFC Championship Games at the end of January. The Chiefs opened as favorites back then and remain favored today.

The start of the 2021-22 NFL regular season is about four months away.

We just watched an exciting 2021 NFL Draft. Trevor Lawrence was drafted #1 by the Jaguars. The first three picks were all QBs. Five of the first 15 picks in the draft were QBs.

Here’s where those five QBs ended up being selected in the 2021 NFL Draft:

Super Bowl 56 Betting Odds After the NFL Draft

We’re going to compare Super Bowl 56 opening odds to the current odds available at Bovada.

With 2022 NFL Super Bowl odds being released a few months ago, we’ve already seen quite a bit of line movement. We saw some big changes in the betting markets after the draft.

The teams with essentially no chance of winning the Super Bowl next year are seeing their odds start to fade. Even the Jaguars have remained flat despite drafting Lawrence.

I see a lot of NFL fans touting the Jags to bounce back, but it’s going to take a few years.

Looking at the top contenders, the Buccaneers steamed in after winning the Super Bowl. The Rams are now among the top five in the market, as they went out and got QB Matthew Stafford.

That’s an overreaction in my opinion. The Broncos have also steamed in on the hopes they steal QB Aaron Rodgers from the Packers, but even if they get him, he’ll have limited weapons again.

Arizona have gone from 50/1 to 33/1, but they weren’t interesting to me at 50/1. They’re in a crowded NFC West with an improved Rams team and they won’t even make the playoffs again.

2022 NFL Super Bowl Predictions

It’s still extremely early to be making too many bets, but you don’t want to miss out on the top of the market either. These are the two teams I’m betting on now because of the perceived value.

The big question is can the Bills get past the Chiefs? They lost to KC in the AFC title game in 2020 after winning the AFC East with a 13-3 record. I expect them to cruise into the playoffs again.

Teams in the AFC East haven’t improved enough to cash the Bills this year and the Patriots may be working in a rookie QB. Josh Allen will only be better in 2021 and he has a new weapon.

Emmanuel Sanders was signed to a one-year contract to work with Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley.

On offense, RB is still going to be a concern, but with one of the league’s best passing offenses and a strong defense that has improved through free agency and the draft, this is a top contender.

The Seahawks started 2020 great, but things quickly trended in the opposite direction.

Seattle still went 12-4 to win the NFC West, but the Rams eliminated them in the opening round of the playoffs. Russell Wilson struggled mightily down the stretch and in the loss to LAR.

With a new offensive coordinator in Shane Waldron, the Seahawks are expected to try and evolve the offense. Last season, the Seahawks tried airing it out deep off of play action way too much.

DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are both back. Seattle also drafted WR D’Wayne Eskridge (Pick #56) with their first pick in the draft. He’ll be tasked with creating more space for the top two WRs.

The offensive and defensive lines are still question marks, but at 28/1, we’re getting on a good price on the Seahawks. If they sneak into the playoffs, anything can happen.

Injuries may also play a bit of a bigger role this season, as every team will play 17 regular season games. With one additional game, we could see more wear and tear as the playoffs begin.
