One of the NFL futures markets we cover annually here at MSB is regular season win totals.

This is one of the most popular NFL futures betting markets. One reason it’s popular is because it allows NFL bettors the chance to get action on their favorite team for the entire season.

We’ll go through the odds for every team at the conclusion of this article.

2020 NFL Regular Season Win Total Predictions

Here are my two best bets for the NFL win totals futures market:

You’re going to have to pay up a bit here, as the Bills are priced at -160 to go over 8.5 wins.

I’d rather bet the Bills O9 games at better odds, but I’m also fine paying the juice here. Buffalo went 10-6 in 2019 (2nd in AFC East) and they improved this off-season.

Buffalo lost several players this off-season, including DE Shaq Lawson, OLB Lorenzo Alexander and RB Frank Gore. However, they spent their cap space very well. The Bills brought in WR Stefon Diggs, EDGE Mario Addison, CB Josh Norman, DT Vernon Butler, CB E.J. Gaines and DE Quinton Jefferson.

Reloading the defense was important after losing some key pieces. The Bills only allowed 16.5 PPG (2nd) last season. They were great against the pass, which is important in today’s NFL.

Buffalo only allowed 3123 passing yards (4th) and 15 passing TDs (2nd) in 2019.

Good defense wins games, which was evident in 2019. The Bills earned a wild card and made the NFL playoffs. This year, the offense should be improved for numerous reasons.

First off, with Gore gone, Devin Singletary will get to lead the backfield for the entire season. In 2019, Singletary rushed for 775 yards on just 151 carries (5.1 yards per rush). He only had 2 rushing TDs, though. He should see more goal line touches now that Gore is out of the picture.

Adding Diggs to the WR unit is a big plus as well. He’ll come in as the #1 WR, which will open up more space on the field for John Brown (1060 receiving yards in 2019) and Cole Beasley (778 receiving yards in 2019). Josh Allen now has a true #1 WR and I expect him to take another leap forward in 2020.

Another reason I’m betting on the Bills is because Tom Brady is out of the AFC East now. That brings me to my next pick, which is on Brady’s new team – the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While this win total may seem a bit high, looking at the Buccaneers schedule, it’s doable.

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were the two big additions for the Bucs this off-season. I predict the Buccaneers are going to be the highest scoring team in the NFL in 2020.

Even in 2019, the Bucs led the league in passing yards (5127) and ranked #3 in passing TDs (33). The problem with Jameis Winston was that he threw way too many interceptions.

Last season, Winston ranked #1 in the league in INTs with 30. The next closest QB was Baker Mayfield (21 INTs). Brady is going to limit turnovers and score a ton of TDs through the air.

Gronkowski might not even be needed too much, as they have crazy depth at the skill positions.

The Buccaneers have Chris Godwin (1333 receiving yards in 2019) and Mike Evans (1157 receiving yards in 2019). Can you imagine Brady throwing to these two guys for a full season?

Staying healthy will be important, but if the Bucs stay healthy, they’ll be contenders.

Tampa Bay went 7-9 last season despite turnover problems and a 2-6 record at home. While they’ll need a three win improvement to cash this bet, it shouldn’t be a problem.

The NFC South is going to be a tough division with the Saints, Falcons and Panthers, but with the offensive firepower on the Bucs, they should be able to simply outscore most teams.

By not turning the football over as much, the defense won’t be left out to dry either. I have the Bucs winning 11 games in 2020 and earning a spot in the expanded NFL playoffs.
