2015 MLB Postseason PredictionsIT”S October and that means MLB playoffs time across North America.

ALDS: Rangers vs. Blue Jays series betting preview

Game #1: Thursday, October 8th 2015 at 3:30pm ET
Venue: Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada
TV: Fox, FS1, MLBN & SNET

The Toronto Blue Jays (93-69) won the AL East for the first time since 1993, which happens to be the last time the Jays won the MLB World Series. The Texas Rangers (88-74) won the AL West after a late surge.

Will the Blue Jays advance against the Rangers? I believe so, but the price doesn’t warrant a bet.

David Price is an ace – he’s 9-1 with a 2.30 ERA and 1.01 WHIP since joining the Blue Jays. He’ll start this afternoon and must win. However, it won’t be easy with Yovani Gallardo on the mound for Texas.

Gallardo is 2-0 against Toronto in 2015 and he hasn’t allowed a run in 13 2/3 innings. Toronto gets Troy Tulowitzki back in the line-up after missing time with injury, but it’s not like they will rely on him.

Toronto averages 5.50 RPG (1st), while the Rangers average 4.64 RPG (3rd). Texas also has a deep rotation and will push this series to five games. Toronto prevails at home thanks to Price, but this will be closer than expected.

ALDS: Astros vs. Royals series betting lines

Game #1: Thursday, October 8th 2015 at 7:30pm ET
Venue: Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri
TV: FS1

The Houston Astros (86-76) played on Tuesday in New York after earning a wild card. They play the Kansas City Royals (95-67) in the ALDS and like the American League series – the home team is favored to advance.

This series will feature great pitching and a clutch hit or two could sway the momentum either direction.

Houston ranked 1st in team ERA (3.57) in the AL, while the Royals ranked 3rd (3.73 ERA). Dallas Keuchel and Scott Kazmir will be relied upon for the Astros in two of the first three games of the series.

If Houston wins games 1 tonight, you have to like the Astros chances of upsetting the Royals. Both teams feature strong pitching, but they also score a lot. Houston averages 4.50 RPG and KC averages 4.47 RPG (7th).

One question mark is the Astros bullpen, which ranked among the best in the majors, but struggled down the stretch in September and October. Houston went 4-2 in the H2H series this year and will win this series in four.

NLDS: Cubs vs. Cardinals series best bets

Game #1: Friday, October 9th 2015 at 6:30pm ET
Venue: Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri
TV: TBS & MLBTV

The St. Louis Cardinals (100-62) were the best team in baseball during the regular season. None of that matters now, though. The Cardinals host the Chicago Cubs (97-65) and the bookmakers have these two priced the same in the series betting market.

This is the only divisional playoff series boasting two teams from the same division. The Cubs and Cardinals are familiar with each other, having played each other 19 times in 2015 (Cardinals are 11-8 H2H).

Chicago are only 3-7 on the road against St. Louis, which will hurt them in this series.

We can expect most games in this series to be low scoring. The Cardinals are allowing 3.24 RPG (1st) and the Cubs are allowing 3.75 RPG (4th). Whichever offense gets rolling will win this series.

St. Louis only score 3.99 RPG (21st) on average and the Cubs aren’t much better at 4.25 RPG (16th).

The Cardinals are dealing with some injuries as well. Yadier Molina is banged up, plus Matt Adams and Jon Jay are both question marks. They also stumbled into the playoffs on a bad note.

I’m betting on the experienced Cardinals to beat the Cubs in five games.

NLDS: Mets vs. Dodgers series predictions

Game #1: Friday, October 9th 2015 at 9:30pm ET
Venue: Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California
TV: TBS & MLBTV

The Los Angeles Dodgers (92-70) and New York Mets (90-72) have the lowest odds out of the teams in the NL to win the World Series. The Mets won the NL East, while the Dodgers won the NL West this season.

Here’s another series with excellent pitching – notice a trend?

The Dodgers ranked 2nd in runs allowed (3.67 RPG) and the Mets ranked 5th (3.78 RPG). There are some big name pitchers as well, including Clayton Kershaw, Zach Greinke, Jacob deGrom and Matt Harvey.

Kershaw has posted terrible postseason numbers, but he has had another great regular season. I believe the Dodgers pitching staff will shine and the Dodgers will eliminate the Mets in four games.

Both teams have a lot of pop on offense, as they rank inside of the top 10 in home runs hit. However, neither team ranks in the top 15 in runs scored. The Mets had a good run making the playoffs, but it’ll end quickly.
