Warriors at Cavaliers best bets for game 4 of the NBA Finals

Warriors vs. Cavaliers Game 4 Best Bets

Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers – 2015 NBA Finals (Series: 2-1 Cavs)

Tip-Off: Thursday, June 11th 2015 at 9:00pm ET
Location: Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio
Watch: ABC

GOLDEN State are on the ropes and need an inspired performance to tie the series up at 2-2 on Thursday night. The GSW came out flat again in game 3 and the Cleveland Cavaliers took advantage – winning the game in regulation (96-91).

I thought the Cavs were dead in the water after Kyrie Irving went down.

However, the Cavaliers have won two in a row and lead the series. The splash brothers have been mediocre at best, in fact, they both have looked lost at times during the series. Stephen Curry has really been in a funk that he needs to shake off quickly.

Game 4 betting lines for GSW vs. CLE

Where can you bet on the NBA Finals? The best bet is Bovada.lv ($250 Free Bet) in the USA or Bodog.eu ($100 Free Play) in Canada – both bookies have great lines and lots of insane prop bets, although the exotic markets don’t open up until Thursday.

No surprise here – the Warriors are in a must-win situation — so I expected them to be small favorites. The over/under is at 193 points, which is right where the total was for last game. With the way this series is going – under looks like a solid bet.

Can anyone on the Warriors stop Lebron James

Let’s take a look at the stat lines posted by James in the 2015 NBA Finals series:

James has been dominating the Warriors and no one has been able to stop him. He has also been causing several starters on the GSW to get into foul trouble, including Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.

With the way the splash brothers are shooting – Golden State can’t afford giving up 40+ points to James.

Will the Warriors snap out of their offensive funk

Curry didn’t have his best game and he really made some bad plays in the 4th quarter, but you can’t blame him for the loss, as he shot 50% from the field (10 of 20) and 53.8% on 3-pointers (7 of 13).

Thompson on the other hand has struggled the past two games. He has gone a combined 45.5% from the field (20 of 44) and he has been even worse from beyond the arc (6 of 19 – 31.6%). He has to start attacking the paint, instead of settling for 3-pointers.

In game 3 – Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut and Green combined for 11 points (4 of 21 on FG’s).

The bench scored 39 points for the Warriors, including 15 by Andre Iguodala and 11 by David Lee. When the Warriors are getting that type of production from the bench they need to win. The Cavs aren’t even that good of a team on defense.

Apart from James – the MVP in game 3 was Matthew Dellavedova. The young PG just keeps hustling – he posted 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. It was his best game in his career and it couldn’t have come at a bigger time.

Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith had 10 points apiece, while Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert and James Jones only combined for 16 points. The fact the Warriors lost is unreal when you consider James and Dellavedova scored 62.5% of the Cavs points.

Game 4: Warriors vs. Cavaliers point spread picks

The Warriors have so much more depth than the Cavaliers and I still believe they’ll figure things out. Going down 3-1 in the series would be terrible – I expect Curry and Thompson to step up with their best game of the series.

Curry has to learn to play some defense too, as Dellavedova has been killing him the last couple games.

Game 4: Warriors vs. Cavaliers over/under predictions

For the Warriors to win, they need to score points and play better offensively.

I don’t think Golden State can stop James – he’s going to get his points and fill up the stat sheet. With that being said – I’m betting on over 193 points. It seemed the Warriors started to figure out the offense in the 4th quarter of game 3.

The Warriors were down by 20+ points, but made it a close game in the 4th quarter. If they play like they did in the 4th for a full game – the Warriors won’t only win — but the game will also soar over the point total.
