NFL Week 2 Best Bets and Odds: Teaser and Parlay Picks

2012-13 NFL PlayoffsLIKE most years – week one was full of surprises — including several big upsets.

Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL and it’s going to be a long journey to the NFL playoffs. Last week I ended up 1-1 on my MNF picks for a small profit (+0.25U). This week I’m going to share my teaser and parlay predictions.

You can quickly see my best bets at the bottom of this article.

But – I want to get into my game previews first.

Rams vs. Redskins point spread odds and prediction

When: Sunday, September 20th 2015 at 1:00pm ET
Where: FedExField in Landover, Maryland
Watch: FOX

The St. Louis Rams (1-0) beat the Seahawks at home to open the season and now they find themselves listed as a road favorite against the Washington Redskins (0-1). Washington lost to Miami in their home opener.

STL at WAS point spread odds: Rams -3.5 (-105) vs. Redskins +3.5 (-115)

Washington lost DeSean Jackson early in week one and his loss will be felt, as the Redskins no longer have a deep threat in the pass game for Kirk Cousins. Alfred Morris will be leaned on heavily in this one.

But – the Rams held Marshawn Lynch to 73 rushing yards in week one.

The Rams offense looked great against the Seattle defense as well. Nick Foles threw for 297 yards and 1 TD, plus he also rushed for 1 TD. Tavon Austin also had a rushing TD, plus he returned a punt for a TD too.

St. Louis blanked the Redskins last year at FedExField (24-0). They won the previous H2H meeting in 2012 (31-28) as well. This is a game the Rams need to win and with a relatively small point spread – I’m on them to cover.

Cowboys vs. Eagles money line odds and picks

When: Sunday, September 20th 2015 at 4:25pm ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Watch: FOX

The Dallas cowboys (1-0) earned a last second win against the Giants in week one and they’ve opened up as a decent sized underdog (+5) against the Philadelphia Eagles (0-1). Philly lost to the Falcons in Atlanta.

DAL at PHI money line odds: Cowboys +180 vs. Eagles -220

No Dez Bryant for the Cowboys, so bet the Eagles right? Not so fast. The road team has won the last four H2H games and the road team was the underdog in each of those match-ups.

There’s definitely value on the Cowboys money line even without Bryant.

Tony Romo still has weapons, including veteran TE Jason Witten who had two TDs last week. The o-line is great as well. The Eagles looked great in the 2H last week, but struggled in the 1H, which Eagles team will we see?

Sam Bradford had a great 2H, but I’m still not sold on the Eagles. DeMarco Murray struggled to pick up many yards, but he made up for that by finding the end zone twice against Atlanta.

This will be a back-and-forth game, but I like the Cowboys to win another weird one against a division rival.

Murray won’t get revenge his on his former NFL team.

Seahawks vs. Packers over/under odds and predictions

When: Sunday, September 20th 2015 at 8:30pm ET
Where: Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin
Watch: NBC

The Seattle Seahawks (0-1) had a tough loss against the Rams to open the season, but I expect them to have a better game against the Green Bay Packers (1-0). GB opened the season up with a road win against Chicago.

SEA at GB over/under odds: Over 48.5 Points (-110) vs. Under 48.5 Points (-110)

These teams have played three times since 2012 and the Seahawks have won every game. The last two games have gone over the total, including the playoff game last season, which ended with 50 points (28-22).

Lynch had trouble getting going on the ground, but that won’t be a problem this week. The Packers allowed Matt Forte to rush for 141 yards and 1 TD. Forte also had 5 receptions for 25 yards out of the backfield.

Seattle isn’t going to have trouble moving the football against GB.

If Foles can throw for nearly 300 passing yards against the Seahawks, Aaron Rodgers should have no problem throwing for over 300 yards. Randall Cobb and DaVante Adams both need to have better games this week.

Eddie Lacy is tough to stop no matter who he’s playing against.

I expect points and I’m betting on over 48.5 points in this primetime game on Sunday night football. It won’t go over the game total by much, but I have the Seahawks winning 28-24 on the road.

NFL Week 2 teaser bets and parlay predictions

I always recommend betting the picks straight-up rather than just on a parlay.

I’ll be betting the three games above SU, plus I have them on a parlay.

I never cross zero on my teasers, so I’m not taking the Rams on it. I’m betting on the Cowboys +11 and over 42.5 in the Seahawks vs. Packers game. This is a standard 6-point teaser and a 2-teamer pays out at -110 odds.
