NFL: Packers vs. Redskins Money Line Picks for Week 11

Who: Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins
When: Sunday, November 20th 2016 at 8:25 PM ET
Where: FedEx Field in Hyattsville, Maryland
Watch: NBC

The Washington Redskins 5-3-1 (6-3 ATS) host the Green Bay Packers 4-5 (4-4-1 ATS) on primetime this Sunday night. Both teams need a win, but the Packers are desperate after losing three games in a row.

Despite the bad run, the Packers are still in the NFC North race. Detroit and Minnesota are both 5-4 with a 1-2 division record (Packers are 2-1 in division games). Washington aren’t going to catch the Cowboys (8-1) in the NFC East, but the Redskins are still in the wild card hunt.

The sharps are hammering the Packers and for good reason. There’s lots of value on the Packers ML on the road. In fact, I advise only betting the Packers ML unless the point spread jumps to GB +3 (-110).

Packers vs. Redskins week 11 preview

These teams don’t play head-to-head (H2H) often, but they did just meet in last year’s NFL playoffs. GB dominated the Redskins (35-18) and they’re now 6-1 H2H against Washington in the last seven games.

Can you guess who has a better QB rating between Aaron Rodgers and Kirk Cousins? If you guessed Cousins, you’re right! Cousins has a 94.8 QB rating, while Rodgers has a 93.9 QB rating.

Rodgers only ranks 13th in passing yards (2410), but he ranks 3rd in passing TDs (22). Jordy Nelson has taken a lot of flack this season, but he’s tied for 1st in receiving TDs (8) with Mike Evans. GB are the only team in the NFL with three players who have 45+ receptions already this season.

Cousins has a lot of weapons at his disposal too. Jamison Crowder (44), Jordan Reed (44) and Pierre Garcon (42) all have more than 40 receptions already. The run game has improved since Rob Kelley started taking RB1 snaps, but you have to beat the Packers through the air.

Packers vs. Redskins ML predictions

I love the value we’re getting on the money line on Sunday night. I expect this price to disappear later in the week, so jump on the Packers ML now at the Bovada Sportsbook. Green Bay are running out of time to figure things out. They’re 3rd in the NFC North, but within striking distance of the Lions.

The Packers are 1-3 on the road and have lost three consecutive road games dating back to week 2. The only road game GB have won this season was in week 1 against the Jaguars (27-23). The Redskins are only 3-2 at home, but they’ve won three home games in a row. They lost at home in week 1 and 2.

GB would be wise to run the football more this week. They’ve basically abandoned the run game, but the Redskins can be beat in the trenches. Washington have allowed 13 rushing TDs (30th) this season.

NFL prop bet of the week: Packers team touchdowns

My NFL prop bet of the week is the Packers to score over 2.5 TDs.

GB have scored 3+ TDs in their last four games. They’re desperate to win and I expect Rodgers to come out slinging. It doesn’t matter how the TDs are scored either, even special team TDs count.
