NFL: Eagles vs. Cowboys Week 9 Money Line Picks

Bet on the Eagles vs. Cowboys - NFL Week 9Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys (SNF)

When: Sunday, November 8th 2015 at 8:30pm ET
Where: AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
Watch: NBC

Who would have thought the Philadelphia Eagles 3-4 (3-4 ATS) and Dallas Cowboys 2-5 (2-5 ATS) would be at the bottom of the NFC East at this stage of the NFL regular season?

The Giants and Redskins are both ahead in the division. Dallas have suffered through injuries to their superstars and have lost five in a row, but the Eagles are relatively healthy and have no excuses for why they’ve been struggling so much.

This match-up will be on primetime this Sunday on NBC – you can bet on the game at Bovada.lv ($250 bonus when joining through our link). All of the betting lines in this article are from the Bovada Sportsbook, plus you can bet on hundreds of game and player props.

These two teams played in week two and the Cowboys won 20-10. This was the game Tony Romo ended up getting injured in and he hasn’t played since. Brandon Weeden led the game-winning TD drive.

The head-to-head series between these division rivals are always close. Since 2012, the Cowboys are 5-2 SU and have the won the last two meetings, however, the Eagles won the two match-ups prior.

Eagles vs. Cowboys betting lines for week 9

A lot of action has come in on the under in this game (90%+), which is an alarming percentage, especially due to the low over/under. The point spread and money line action has been close to even since the lines opened.

Stats and injury news

Everyone on the Eagles has been practicing this week except for Jason Peters, but he’s listed as questionable and he’ll likely play this week after healing up during the Eagles bye week.

Dallas are still without Tony Romo, but Dez Bryant is back, although he struggled badly last week and is clearing missing his #1 QB. Dallas have several players on the injury list, but they’re all probable to play.

Here’s a breakdown of how each team has performed on offense and defense.

Dallas can still run the football, but the passing game and turnovers have killed them. The defense has hung in tough considering the circumstances, but until Romo is back, the Cowboys are a team to avoid.

Eagles at Cowboys predictions

The Eagles are -2.5 (-120) on the point spread, so it’s better off betting the money line.

I don’t want to risk this being a 1 or 2 point game, which wouldn’t be surprising between these two rivals. Philly should dominate and win easily, but we all know that’s never the case with this Eagles team.

Look for the Eagles defense to be a big reason why they win. Philadelphia have 6 INTs in their last three games, including three last time out against Carolina. The Eagles now have 11 INTs this season.

Matt Cassel avoiding turnovers against Seattle, but he was still absolutely garbage and the Eagles defense will be able to feast on him. It wouldn’t surprise me if Cassel failed to eclipse 100+ passing yards again.

The only bright spot on the Cowboys offense has been Darren McFadden.

It’s only a matter of time before McFadden is out with a season-ending injury. However, he has 216 rushing yards and 59 receiving yards on 8 receptions in his last two games. In week five he hauled in 9 receptions.

Philadelphia held Dallas to 109 rushing yards in week two and if they can replicate that performance, they’ll win this time around. Sam Bradford and Demarco Murray were both terrible in the first H2H meeting.

Murray has been getting more touches and producing better as of late, but Bradford is having a rough season and could be out of a starting QB job in Philly after this season is over if he doesn’t pick it up.

I lean to the under in this match-up, but a ton of action has come in on the under already and the total is only at 44.5 points. I’m going to sit out on the over/under betting market, as it’s tough to predict.

When these two teams meet, you expect to see a lot of points. But, injuries have decimated the Cowboys offense and they’re now trying to grind out wins by managing the clock.
