Kick-Off: Saturday, April 4th 2015 at 7:45pm ET
Location: Emirates Stadium in Holloway, London
Watch: Sportsnet, BT Sport 1 & NBCSN

IT had to end at some point and it has – Liverpool are no longer unbeaten in 2015 in league play after losing to United (2-1). Now the Reds are away against the red-hot Gunners at the Emirates on Saturday.

Arsenal sit third on the league table at 60 points and they’re trailing City by just a single point for second place. Liverpool are in poor shape after losing to United, as they’re now five points behind United for fourth place on the league table.

There’s still time left though and no one believes that more than Arsene Wenger.

“Whatever is mathematically possible you have to try to achieve, but that doesn’t depend only on us. What does only depend on us in the final run is our performances and our results, so let’s focus on that,” he said.

Arsenal opened up at 2.0 (+100) and has since been bet up in the market, which makes sense. The Gunners are have won nine of their last ten matches and are 11-0-1 in their last 13 overall. Arsenal are in great form and extremely tough on the home pitch.

In fact, only United have beaten Arsenal at the Emirates this campaign. Arsenal are 10-3-1 at home.

Betting tips for Arsenal v Liverpool

Wenger wants to push towards the title still and his players are behind him 100 percent, despite the unlikelihood of Arsenal catching up to Chelsea on the league table. Most factors point to the Gunners getting the full three points against the Reds.

Brendan Rodgers is optimistic about having Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana at his disposal. Raheem Sterling still has a banged up toe, but he’s fit enough to feature. However, Martin Skrtel and Steven Gerrard will both miss this match due to suspension.

Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck are hoping to be back in the line-up for Arsenal, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will definitely be out still. Olivier Giroud is expected to start up-front and he has been on fire – scoring six goals in Arsenal’s last five league matches.

Giroud is coming off a cracking brace against Newcastle last time out and he’s now tied with Alexis Sanchez in goals at 13, which leads the Gunners. If Sturridge can’t suit up that’ll hurt an already struggling offense and goals will be hard to come by.

Arsenal are conceding 0.79 GPG and scoring 2.36 GPG at the Emirates this season – both numbers are much better than the league average. Liverpool are scoring 1.36 GPG and conceding 1.14 GPG away from Anfield, but that hasn’t translated into many away wins.

Liverpool are 8-1-5 in away matches and they only scored three goals in the five away losses. The Reds have kept a clean sheet in 50% of their away matches somehow, but the lack of goal scoring has been a big reason why Pool are 5th on the league table.

There’s a good chance Liverpool won’t even score, whereas Arsenal haven’t been held scoreless at home all season. The Reds and the Gunners ended even (2-2) in their December match at Anfield, but I don’t expect nearly as many goals this time around.

Goalscorer tips in the Gunners vs. the Reds

I got burned in the first goalscorer market last weekend, so I’m going to take a different approach.

I’m going to bet on the anytime goalscorer market, as we’re able to get plus money on Giroud to score anytime (2.25). Giroud is the frontrunner in the anytime goalscorer market in Arsenal v Liverpool.

We have to wait for confirmed line-ups before we can speculate on any other scorers in this match, although I’m not too keen on targeting any other players in this market.

Place this accumulator (parlay) at Bet365. Not only do they have the best odds at 5.40, but they’ll also payout a 10% bonus on top of that if the bet wins. I’ve already explained why I’m betting on Arsenal, but here’s a quick previews on the other three matches.

League-leading Chelsea host Stoke City on Saturday at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea beat Stoke 2-0 away in December and they have a 5-0-1 record against Stoke since 2012. Chelsea’s home form hasn’t been great in their last two, but they’ll beat Stoke comfortably.

I’m also on United over Villa on Saturday and City over Crystal Palace on Monday. United are at Old Trafford where they have a 12-1-2 record in league play. Man Utd. are also 7-1-0 in the last eight H2H matches, although the draw was back in December.

City are six points back of Chelsea, but they’re not giving up. They have two away losses in a row (Liverpool and Burnley), but this is a great opportunity to pick up a win over a middle-of-the-table team. City are 7-0-0 in the last seven H2H matches in all competitions.
