2015 NFL Draft Props Betting

When: Thursday, April 30th 2015 at 8:00pm ET
Where: Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre
TV: ESPN & NFL Network

IT’S the time of year where NFL mock drafts are plentiful, but if you’re like me, you’re sick of seeing them everywhere by now. Thankfully, the 2015 NFL Draft starts on Thursday at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre.

I love betting on the NFL Draft, although this year there doesn’t appear to be much value at all. That’s unfortunate, but I still have a few strong bets at good odds to share with everyone.

Where to bet on the 2015 NFL Draft

There are three sportsbooks offering NFL Draft props, including Bovada, Bodog and Bet365.

Bovada.lv (USA only) and Bodog.eu (Canada only) have the exact same markets and prices available. Bet365 has multiple markets open too and almost anyone can join Bet365, apart from Americans.

Each of the bookmakers have a free bet or bonus offer in place for new sports bettors.

Bovada Sportsbook: Free bet bonus (100% of first deposit for up to $250).

Bodog Sportsbook: Free bet bonus (100% of first deposit for up to $100).

Bet365 Sportsbook: Cash bonus (100% of first deposit for up to $200).

Who will be selected #1 in the 2015 NFL Draft

There isn’t too much to discuss here. All signs point to Jameis Winston going first off the board. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are likely going to draft Winston, although the Buccaneers GM Jason Licht has stated, “everything is for sale”.

Even if the Buccaneers trade down – Winston will still be the first player drafted this year.

Who will be selected #2 in the 2015 NFL Draft

I’m hearing a lot of talk about the Tennessee Titans being interested in shopping the #2 pick. According to Ian Rapport – the three teams most interested in moving up are the San Diego Chargers, St. Louis Rams and Cleveland Browns.

I just see no way the Titans can trade the #2 pick unless they get a huge stockpile of future draft picks.

Potential franchise QB’s don’t come around too often and I believe Mariota will succeed at the next level.

With Zach Mettenberger, Charlie Whitehurst and Jordan Palmer on the Titans QB depth chart – the Titans are in need of a real QB and they won’t pass up the opportunity to select Mariota.

Who will be the first RB selected

This prop market was clouded earlier because no one knew if Gurley was healthy or not.

Gurley had two medical checks on April 17th and April 18th 2015. He’s now viewed as good to go in the draft and there’s no doubt he’s the best RB prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft. Gordon had some value prior to the medical checks, but not at this point.

Several recent expert mock drafts have Gurley moving all the way up into the top ten, although that may be pushing it a bit.

However, Gurley will be the first RB drafted and I’m surprised we’re getting him at –275 odds at Bet365.

Who will be the first WR selected

Bet365 are running this market too, but you can’t parlay a selection from this market and the RB market. I tried parlaying Gurley and White, but was unable too. This market could go either way between Cooper and White, as both are projected to be #1 WR’s.

Most experts are predicting the Oakland Raiders will select a WR at #4 to give QB Derek Carr a WR1.

You really never know what the Raiders organization will do, but my money is on White. The Raiders like to mix it up and if they go WR, it’ll be White. Cooper has more experience at the college level, but White has much better size than Cooper.

White is 6’3’’ and 215 pounds, while Cooper is 6’1’’ and 211 pounds.

Will the Raiders value size over experience? Or will they pass on a WR all together?

How many WR’s will be drafted in the first round

I’m interested in over 4.5 WR’s (-200) at Bet365, but unfortunately Americans can’t get that line.

Many experts are predicting up to six WR’s will go in the first round, but it’ll be close. Cooper and White are both going to be drafted in the top ten. Parker, Perriman, Green-Beckham, Strong, Dorsett, Nelson Agholor and Devin Smith are all first round candidates too.

This is shaping up to be a WR-heavy draft in the first round, but there’s a lot of exceptional talent.

It’s almost certain that Cooper, White, Parker, Perriman and Agholor will be taken in the first round – making the Bet365 market an excellent value at –200 odds. Green-Beckham is expected to go in round 1 as well, which would mean O5.5 WR’s would hit too.
