Philadelphia Eagles vs. Atlanta Falcons money line odds and picks

When: Monday, September 14th 2015 at 7:10pm ET
Where: Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia
Watch: ESPN

There are bound to be plenty of points scored in the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Atlanta Falcons week 1 match-up.

Let’s take a look at the lines first and then I’ll dive into my analysis.

Money Line Odds: Philadelphia Eagles (-155) vs. Atlanta Falcons (+135)

Point Spread: Philadelphia Eagles -3 (-110) vs. Atlanta Falcons +3 (-110)

Over/Under: Over 55 Points (-110) vs. Under 55 Points (-110)

Everyone is in love with the Eagles – they’re getting 90%+ of the point spread action and 70%+ of the money line action. The O/U has been bet up two points already and 75%+ of the early action has come in on the over.

I have two bets on this game – I’ll be on the Falcons to cover ATS at +3 points and to win on the ML at +135 odds.

Bet on the Atlanta Falcons Money Line (+135) at the Bovada Sportsbook

Atlanta is typically a great team at the Georgia Dome, but they went just 3-5 at home in 2014. Atlanta finished at 6-10 in the NFC South and missed the playoffs. Philadelphia went 10-6, but they also missed out on the playoffs in the NFC.

These two teams haven’t played since 2012, but the Falcons have won the last two match-ups.

Chip Kelly and the Eagles are expected to have one of the best offenses and if the preseason is anything to go by – the offense will score a ton. However, I’m not completely convinced. Sam Bradford has injury concerns and the WR’s are mostly unproven.

We know what we’re going to get from Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Roddy White on the Falcons.

Tevin Coleman will improve the Falcons running attack as well. Both defenses are weak and this game will end up being a shootout with both teams scoring 30+ points, but I have the Falcons winning on a late FG drive (33-30).

Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers week 1 over/under odds & picks

When: Monday, September 14th 2015 at 10:20pm ET
Where: Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California
Watch: ESPN

Can the San Francisco 49ers silence the critics with a home win against the Minnesota Vikings?

The 49ers cleared out several players during the off-season, including Patrick Willis, Justin Smith and Frank Gore, among others. It looks like the Niners are going to be in rebuild mode for the next couple seasons in the unforgiving NFC West.

Here are the latest betting lines for MIN at SF:

Money Line Odds: Minnesota Vikings (-140) vs. San Francisco 49ers (+120)

Point Spread: Minnesota Vikings -2.5 (-110) vs. San Francisco 49ers +2.5 (-110)

Game Total Odds: Over 41.5 Points (-110) vs. Under 41.5 Points (-110)

It’s no secret the 49ers are in bad shape – even the public is hammering the Vikings. Roughly 75%+ of the point spread action and 85%+ of the money line action has come in on Minny. Nearly 80% of NFL bettors are betting on the over as well.

My best bet is on the over 41.5 points, as the Niners defense will take a huge step backwards in 2015.

Bet over 41.5 points in the Vikings vs. 49ers at Bovada.lv

The 49ers lost nine starters in total and many of them were on defense.

It’s hard to say how this defense will look in real game action yet, but I expect them to regress a lot. Last year the Niners ranked inside the top ten in yards allowed 321.4 YPG (5th) and points allowed 21.3 PPG (10th).

Teddy Bridgewater has a year of experience under his belt and he now has Adrian Peterson in the backfield.

This Vikings offense is going to be much better than last season, especially if some of the younger WR’s start producing. He has never been consistent, but the addition of Mike Wallace from the Dolphins adds a legitimate deep threat.

SF isn’t looking too bad on offense either, especially if Colin Kaepernick can bounce back.

The 49ers added Reggie Bush to give them some speed and Carlos Hyde will now be starting. The over/under line is too low in this game. I’ll be betting on over 41.5 points in the Vikings vs. 49ers on Monday Night Football.
