2015 Champions League semi finals 2nd leg best bets

2015 Champions League Semi Finals 2nd Leg Betting Guide

THE 2015 UEFA Champions League semi finals conclude this week and there will be some fireworks.

Barcelona holds a commanding 3-0 lead over Bayern Munich, after dominating the first leg.

Juventus won the opening leg against Real Madrid (2-1), but Los Blancos are far from out of it and I expect them to make it very interesting against Juve.

Bayern Munich v Barcelona betting tips – Leg 2

Kick-Off: Tuesday, May 12th 2015 at 2:45pm ET
Stadium: Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany

Bayern Munich attempted to stifle the Barcelona attack and despite a valiant effort – they were unable to finish. It took Barcelona until the 77th minute to open the scoring on a Lionel Messi shot, but the floodgates opened up after the initial strike.

Messi netted another goal in the 80th minute and Neymar scored in stoppage time.

Pep Guardiola made a decision to push forward after down 2-0. Rather than strike an away goal – they conceded once more — making it nearly impossible to catch up in leg 2. Only one team (Deportivo in 2004) has ever overturned a 3-0 deficit in the CL.

The injuries to Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben have crippled Bayern Munich. They no longer have the pace down the flanks to cause trouble for the opposing back line. Neither player will be fit to play in the second leg at Allianz Arena.

How bad were Bayern Munich in the first leg?

Bayern Munich didn’t land a single shot on target, which was the first time that has happened to the German side in a CL match since 2009 against Bordeaux.

My best bet is Barcelona PK (1.95) at Bovada.lv.

I believe Barca will keep the throttle down against Bayern Munich.

This isn’t a team that knows how to let up. The trio of Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez have netted well over 100 goals this season and Bayern Munich will have zero confidence heading into this match. I also expect goals, but I don’t like the price on O2.5 goals.

Messi to score anytime (2.08) at CrownBet is my second bet on this match. Messi has been on fire lately.

Real Madrid v Juventus betting tips – Leg 2

Kick-Off: Wednesday, May 13th 2015 at 2:45pm ET
Stadium: Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain

Real Madrid have some work to do if they expect to defend the Champions League title in the finals.

Juventus earned a much deserved home win, but the going will be tougher in Madrid. Alvaro Morata opened up the scoring in the first leg with a goal in the 8th minute. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the equalizer, but Carlos Tevez scored the lone goal in the 2H.

It could be a lot worse for Real Madrid – they’re only down 2-1 on aggregate and have an away goal.

If Real Madrid can squeak out a 1-0 home win, it would be enough to advance to the finals again. Real Madrid just beat Atletico 1-0 at home in the Champions League QF. However, the Spanish side needs to be better on both ends of the field in the 2nd leg.

Juve dictated the pace in the first leg and they executed incredibly well on the pitch. They completed 27 passes leading up to the opening goal by Morata, which set a record for the most passes leading to a goal in this year’s Champions League action.

My best bet is both teams to score (1.80) at Bet365 – I’m surprised we’re getting such a good price.

Real Madrid are a strong home side, but they looked lost when defending in the first leg. Juventus are incredible at passing and it won’t take them long to crack the Real Madrid back line. With the talent on Real Madrid – they should have no problem scoring.

Los Blancos will need to push the pace anyways, as they need to score to have any chance.

I’m also betting on the draw (4.00) at Bovada for a 1/2 unit. I expect the final score to be 1-1 and Juventus will make the CL final for the first time since 2003. This team has a stacked midfield, plus the addition of Tevez has made Juventus a world class team.
